It comprises the Main Library and the Faculties of: Languages; History; Law and Administration; Social Sciences; Oceanography and Geography; Biology; Chemistry; Mathematics, Physics and IT, as well as the Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology created in cooperation with the Medical University of Gdańsk. Utopian Studies Society 2017 Annual Conference will be held in the Neophilology building opened in 2015.
European Solidarity Centre
Plac Solidarności 1, 80-863 Gdańsk
The European Solidarity Centre – new but already widely recognisable symbol of Gdańsk, the centre is an interactive culture institution and museum devoted to the history of the Solidarity movement. Located exactly where the beginning of the end of the communist era in Eastern Europe took place, the centre constitutes not only a house for impressive and modern permanent exhibition, but also a place of enormous emotional value for Poles and all Europeans. The roof terrace of this extraordinary building offers a wonderful view on the old and main towns on the one side, and on the Gdańsk shipyard (with its large cranes) on the other.
